Automatic Plating line Barrels are made up of polypropylene, stainless steel, or titanium body, which can be arranged in a production line with automation or manual transfer from one stage to the next. Barrels spares like carriages, drum, gears. Cathode contact V block and V saddles etc.

Barrel carriages made up of stainless steel frame with polypropylene drum hanging by it with DC contact to which flexible cathodes are connected for current supply to the processed pieces. Automatic barrel consist of electric break motor power supply for drum rotation.

In automatic plating lines drums are prism shaped containers having butt mounted toothed wheels for drum rotation. One of the sidewalls has removable cover for piece loading into the drum. The inner drum can be divided into multiple section.

The size of the barrel is dependent upon the shape, size, density and the quantity of the articles to be plated.

The portable barrel are mostly used in manually operated lines for processing bulk loaded pieces with 1 KG to  3KG capacities. These barrels are used for general purpose plating on a small diameter articles such as pins. The walls of the drum are drilled at an angle in a herringbone formation so that even small pins cannot pass through it. The correct speed is governed by the diameter of the barrel and nature of the articles. Small barrels are usually driven at 10 to 15 revolutions per minute but reduction of speed may be necessary in special case like for bright zinc and bright nickel plating, it is advisable to use a speed of 3 to 7 r.p.m.. These drums are used in plating of process temperature of within 80 degree Celsius. The drum is hanged on a tank rod with DC contacts to which flexible cathodes are connected for current supply to processed pieces.

These barrels are intended for plating bulk loaded small pieces. The barrel consist of polypropylene/MS Tank, drum connected by motor for rotation and PP cover which is used as piece unloading tray.

The tank is made from polypropylene material and are fitted with drainage ports and valves and may have heat exchanger coils for heating or cooling.
